On 1 August 2015 PBFC held its annual fundraiser, and this year the charity nominated was Kids Help Line.

Due to the incredible generosity and support shown by club patrons, this year we raised an unbelievable $11,410… excellent result by any standard.

With a blue sky and a light breeze, the weather signalled success from the start.  The cake stall as usual was a great draw card, with the generous donations of homemade goodies generating hundreds of dollars and many satisfied tummies.  Thanks go out to the regulars who man the stall – Fiona and Tyronne Caspersz, Kathleen Lundy, and Veronica Walters.

The jumping castle had the kids screaming and bouncing for hours, and as always proved to be a big hit with the crowd.

The chocolate toss, a new addition to activities this year, proved to be a popular challenge for those with a sweet tooth.  Thanks to Jerome Caspersz and Tim Levitt for volunteering to control the crowds with humour and pizzazz!

Elle Parker showed of her fairy floss magic, twisting up many a sticky stick of pink floss – well done!

The day would not be as successful without the generosity and ongoing support of PBFC sponsors – sincere thanks go out to the following groups:

NG Farah Kingsford – sponsoring the printing of tickets and fliers

RAMS Rosebery – sponsor of the face painter

Dennis Vertzayias – sponsor of the jumping castle

Arabella Joseph (The Fudge Shop) – donation of the fairy floss machine and goods

Donations of prizes from the following:

Graphic Arts Club – dinner vouchers

Costantino family – sunglasses

Lucas Meats – meat  vouchers

Barry Rallis – Seafood vouchers (The One That Got Away)

Adrian Sexton – weather vanes

Thanks go out to the volunteers behind the scenes, who keep the day on track and put many hours into ensuring the day is a success – you know who you are…

Well done PBFC – feel proud to be part of a community club that gives back in more ways than one.
